About John
John was born on 4th Jan 1963 in Hilingdon,Middlesex.When he was one year old his family moved to Norfolk,his fathers home county.At a very early age John showed an apptitude for art and drew quite a lot of attention for his efforts.Having a very sporty father he also gained a lot of interest in varied sports.Over the years he acheived player of the year for football,coached and formed boys teams to top 3 status and became the Royal Air Force champion in boxing for his weight.His real passion however was for cycling,although he did not take it up competetively until he was in his late 20's.Work commitments however, saw him abandon his cycling after about 5 years.During this time he returned to his other passion of art and he served his "apprenticeship",discovering and learning for himself.This route has served him well and he has acheived his own unique subject and style.He has drawn portraits of a world boxing champion,whom he gave his work to,and he has had portraits of popular music and tv stars endorsed by the stars themselves.This led to John appearing in the Journal of East Anglian life ,the North Norfolk News and many local newspapers.John has also exhibited at the Royal Norfolk Show,the Suffolk show and the picturecraft gallery.He has also won "best picture" at exhibitions and won competitions for his efforts..
John has now returned to cycling after a 15 year break and is acheiving better results now than in is younger days.He is also still painting ,bringing both his passions together,he is finding a lot of interest in his cycling paintings.His winter scenes are also particularly well received for the christmas season,being popular with individuals,families and business alike.
With the help of a family run business and holder of the queens warrant for printing,John can offer Prints,calenders and personalized and blank cards at very competetive prices.
